In addition to being compassionate, you must also be firm enough to facilitate therapeutic programs and interventions.
In this concentration, you develop knowledge and skills to work as front line/entry level professional helpers support clients in a range of human service settings. Community Services professionals work with individuals in need of various support and advocacy services. This type of service can involve working with youth from age 7-21 and / or individuals of any age category with mental, intellectual, or developmental disabilities.
